 FAQs

  • -There are gender neutral restrooms, coat hangers, a rest area, and a water fountain in the studio.

-There is free parking at the studio (11 spots directly in front - including one accessible spot, and plenty of overflow spots to the left of the studio).

-The studio entrance can be accessed by 7 stairs or a ramp.

    -Se habla español.

  • -A full water bottle. There is a water fountain at the studio for refills.

-Comfortable athletic clothing. Form-fitting clothing is helpful for working on your posture and technique, but is absolutely not a requirement.

-Long hair should be tied back.

-Socks, ballet slippers, or jazz shoes are just fine for the first couple classes. You may wear tennis shoes if you need the extra support (the more form-fitting, the better).

If you’re interested in purchasing Irish dance shoes, I’d recommend the following:

Antonio Pacelli Split Sole Ava Pumps are worn in girls/ladies competitive categories (typically worn with poodle socks).

Rutherford Reel Shoes are worn in boys/mens competitive categories (typically worn with standard gym socks in class and black dress socks for performances).

They use UK sizing, so use this size guide. Intermediate/advanced dancers aim for a slight toe curl in their softshoes, but for beginners I recommend a very snug, second skin fit with toes touching the end (like rock climbing shoes) because they will stretch. They have a 90-day return policy if you're able to order a couple sizes to try out.
